Don’t Put Your Lips on That (Dead Man’s Chest Minute 15)

Dead Man's Chest Episodes Season 2

Let’s ring in the new year with some fresh seafood and a bottle of rum. Unfortunately, our main course, Bootstrap Bill Turner, is on the fishy side. Join us for this episode of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest as we cover minute 15…a minute pulled straight from the depths of Davy Jones’ Locker. Today we go all out in our Tragedy of Bootstrap Bill discussion from his downtrodden character elements, mannerisms and dilemmas, the symbolism of his sealife encrustation, and spreading germs to Captain Jack Sparrow with a crusty rum bottle. We also hit a few movie references including Minority Report, Total Recall, Harry Potter and A.I., examine Jack’s shock at the Bootstrap revelation given the supernatural nature of the Pirates of the Caribbean universe, and link Jack’s neck cracking to his possible future with Davy Jones.
